An unbelievably gorgeous little corner of the earth, overlooking the breath-taking Amalfi coastline, Sorrento oozes charm, character and attracts thousands of visitors each year because of its ancient past. As you walk through the picturesque streets of Sorrento you will be hit by the fresh scent of oranges and lemons for which Sorrento is famous - the Lemoncello is well worth a try. Many visitors to Sorrento find themselves coming back time and time again as their hearts have been captured by the beauty of this sweet little town, as was mine!

The Cloister of San Francesco – Sorrento

The Cloisters is part of a medieval monastery dating back to the 14th century and offers a truly magical setting with its arches and pillars surrounded by flowers, vines and ornamental trees. You can personalise your ceremony with your own reading(s) and musicians such as a violinist (which I personally recommend) or a traditional Italian guitar and mandolin duo. The open–air courtyard offers amazing acoustics with the venue often hosting classical music events. Following the ceremony, you have the opportunity to have your wedding photographs taken in the gardens behind, with the most spectacular backdrop of the Sorrentine peninsula and Vesuvius. A photographer’s dream!

All civil ceremonies are roughly 20 minutes long, conducted in Italian and translated into English. Ceremonies can be personalised with your own readings or poetry.
